A first degree with equivalent to second class honours in Art/Design and a research proposal.

Aims and Scope

The aim of the MA in Art is to guide students toward developing the skills and critical abilities necessary to conduct research in specific area of visual arts. The core of our research is the continuing observation and investigation of the aesthetic and values of the art and design object, in terms of materials, processes, time, new technology and relationship and interaction between traditional, material-based disciplines and time-based and digital media. The programme will encourage a multi-disciplinary approach to the research undertaken, like research into art and education, art and anthropology, art and communication, art and computer technology, art and management etc. By the end of the programme, students who has undertaken the research project of visual arts related discipline will produce an appropriate dissertation.
