    Brief Outline

Envisioned as a studio-based research project in painting, digital photography and video installation, Transfiguration of Space will explore the theme of spirituality as it is conveyed through symbolic icons, logarithmic spirals, floral patterns, natural forms and landscape images. More than sixty exhibits of Kong Ho's recent spiritual paintings, digital photographs and video art installation will be showcased at the art exhibition titled "Transfiguration of Space: Paintings, Photographs and Digital Art Installation by Kong Ho" at the NIE Art Gallery of National Institute of Education, an Institute of Nanyang Technological University, in Singapore from May 11 to June 1, 2012. This invitational solo exhibition will showcase not only Ho's recent work but also include a hands-on 3D illusionary mural drawing workshop led by Ho and with the participation of the NIE students. Also, Ho will give a gallery talk about his artistic concepts behind his "Cycle Series" paintings and computer generated images to the target audience of NIE and Singapore art community during the exhibition opening. Furthermore, Ho intends to share his studio practice research outcomes and collaborative community mural workshop experience with the UBD and Bruneian art community in the autumn of 2012.
