Laos + Bruneian — Ls : 1911
S1 = Brunei female
S2 = Laos male
Context: S2 is talking about women wearing Islamic head covering and other women assuming they must feel hot.
S2: ... the old women come and tell (.) oh you don't ho:t? @@@
S1: sorry?
S2: you don’t feel hot?
Intended Word: hot
Discussion: This is one of the few occasions in this conversation when S1 asked S2 to clarify what he had said. The delayed release of the final [t] in hot might have contributed to the problem; but it is also likely because of the absence of a main verb in: 'you don't hot'. S1 finally understood him when he said 'you don't feel hot' (even though there is no [t] on the end of this second token of hot).
