Background

I am a Lecturer of Malay Studies in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS) at Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD). I started my career in UBD in 2014, teaching Brunei ethnic language modules, Malay language and culture for students in LC, and I have worked with international exchange students under the UBD Global Discovery Programme, as well as with expatriates in Brunei.

I have experience and skills in using IBM SPSS, conducting mixed methods research (Qualitative and Quantitative) and organising blended teaching and learning sessions. I am also active in doing research, translation, and consultation in multi-disciplinary areas such as Malay language, Malay culture, Brunei ethnic languages, social media discourse, and teaching and learning in HiE. Last but not least, I am a motivated person, open to new ideas, love to learn new things and have experience working individually and as part of a team.
